Delft
The Urban Climate Arboretum at the forecourt of the faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment is the very first climate arboretum ever built. The trees are located on either side of the monumental main entrance of the faculty building. The sensors for the reference measurements are placed in the centre of the forecourt. During the three years of measurements, the trees are regularly moved around on the square. This gives the research team the opportunity to test different set-ups and configurations. The mobile containers were specifically designed with this purpose in mind. When the project is complete, the trees will be planted on the TU Delft campus.
